Funeral Arrangements Set for Mother of 3 Killed in Head-On Crash

Funeral arrangements have been set for a Stillwater native who was killed in a head-on crash last week in central Minnesota. Lindsay Marie (Keenan) Cardinal, 35, of Foreston, died on Jan. 31, 2017 as a result of a collision involving a suspected drunk driver. She attended Stillwater schools, where she played soccer and basketball. Lindsay graduated from Stillwater Area High School in 2000. Continue Reading →

Washington County Commissioner Ted Bearth Dies at 77

It is with great sorrow that we share the news of the passing of County Commissioner Ted Bearth this morning, March 10, 2016. He was 77. Commissioner Bearth was first elected to the County Board in 2012 and was re-elected in 2014.  Commissioner Bearth was elected Chair of the County Board in 2016. Commissioner Bearth represented the Second District of Washington County. Obit: Richard ‘Dick’ Olsen, 78, Third Generation Olsen Construction President, Community Activist


Stillwater lost a pillar of our community last weekend. Richard “Dick” Olsen, 78, died on March 1 surrounded by his family. “Dick was a remarkable man who did a lot of work and a lot of good for our community,” City Council Member Mike Polehna said. “He really loved Stillwater, and it was a sad day.
