Downtown Stillwater’s annual Twinkle Parade and Christmas Tree lighting is happening this weekend.
The celebration begins at 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5 on Nelson Street at Sam Bloomer Way in South Lowell Park. There will be music by the Teddy Bear Band — and free coffee, cocoa, cookies and popcorn before the parade begins.
Free Twinkle lights will be available for children 12 and under while supplies last.
The parade will end in North Lowell Park, where Santa will arrive on a firetruck, Stillwater’s community Christmas tree will be lit and a short fireworks display happens at the Pedestrian Plaza.
A short fireworks display follows the tree lighting.
The Twinkle Parade and Tree Lighting is part of the month-long celebration, Hometown for the Holidays.
