Kids Oasis is set to open in downtown Stillwater this week.
The indoor kids playground opens at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 1.
Open Play will cost $5.50 per child. The open play hours are Monday and Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Wednesdays through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Private group rentals are available every day from 8-10 a.m. starting at $59. Birthday parties are held 4-7 p.m. Monday through Thursdays; 4-9 p.m. on Fridays; and 2-8 p.m. on Saturdays; and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays. Parties start at $99.
Kids Oasis is the brainchild of John and Kelly Daly, owners of Gammy and Gumpy’s toy store, which is next store to the indoor play space and small events center, at 120 South Main St.
“We need something like this in Stillwater,” John Daly has said. “There’s no reason parents and families should have to leave Stillwater during the winter to have their kid’s party in Woodbury, Hudson or Oakdale.”
The various play areas can hold 4-6 younger kids at a time. The back end of the space has three spaces for events, parent meet-up groups and birthday parties.
“Stillwater is fortunate enough to have Teddy Bear Park, the best outdoor park available for children under 8 years old,” Daly has said. “This would compliment those same families that would visit the park on rainy days and during the colder winter months.”
