Stillwater Police Chief Swears In City’s Newest Officer, Hunter Julien

Stillwater Police Chief John Gannaway welcomed the city’s newest licensed police officer, Hunter Julien, to the force on Tuesday night.

Officer Julien has worked with the Stillwater Police Department for a number of years, the police chief said, and served in various capacities with the department including a reserve, a seasonal community service officer and an intern.

“He’s been everything,” Gannaway said. “His body of work has led him to where he is right now.”

“Most of us on the council have seen Hunter around town for a few years now,” Mayor Ken Harycki said. “A few months ago he came before us to talk about problem properties, and I think he really impressed us with his ability to communicate. It’s not easy being peppered with questions at the podium, and he kept his composure and did a great job. I look forward to seeing you on the force.”
