For those of you crossing the St. Croix River on the Stillwater Lift Bridge, make note of the alternating lane closures and delays that will start at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 14.
Boat and other water traffic will not be impacted, according to MnDOT, and the normal lift schedule will not change.
“The lane closures are necessary as crews conduct an in-depth inspection of the bridge,” a MnDOT news release reads. “Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes to avoid the increased congestion.”
The lanes will reopen daily by 2 p.m. The inspection will only occur during the week days and is expected to be complete by 2 p.m. Friday, July 25, weather permitting.
