Stillwater Businesses Plan Dinner to Say ‘Thank You’ to Local First Responders

Police Card

Several Stillwater businesses are saying “Thank you” to our local police, firefighters and medics this week by serving a meal to those who serve our community.

“In short, we will be serving dinner to first responders simply as a Thank You,” Candyland Owner Brandon Lamb said. “A lot of tragic events are taking place around our nation, and as a community we want to keep the Love in our town rather than the negativity.”

The event was organized by Lamb and Jarvis Glanzer of Watermark Church, with support from dozens of local businesses including the Main Street IBA, Leo’s Grill and Malt Shop, Reclaiming Beautiful, QuickFire Pizza, Alfresco, Lift Bridge Brewery, the Water Street Inn, Team Boo Realty, the Dock Cafe, Tin Bins and Acapulco.

“This idea first came about to have a dinner for all first responders, but in light of recent events, we felt we needed to speed up the process and start on a lower scale,” Lamb said. “We would still like to continue working on a bigger event that will most likely happen early next year.”
