Stillwater Baseball Stars of the Week Awards: Week of June 25

Congratulations to the 15AAA team who won the Gopher State Midsummer Classic, the 14AA team placed 2nd in the Cheesehead Championships in Wisconsin Dells and the 13AA Red team took 3rd in Owatonna.

Stars of the Week for June 25:

Tony Ingram is the Stillwater Motors Player of the Week. Tony hit 2 home runs  in the Cheesehead Championships for his 14AA team, going 6-13 with 10 runs batted in (RBIs) and 5 runs. He was voted MVP of the national tournament by the other coaches.

Alex Oberg is the Umpire of the Week. Alex shows up to every game on time, ready to call the game, has a very consistent strike zone and gets out from behind the plate to make calls…

Alex “Ting” Eberspacher is the Bayport Printing House Sportsmanship Star of the Week. Alex, in addition to his excellent athleticism, always demonstrates exceptional sportsmanship and a positive attitude. Whether he hits a bomb for a triple, grounds out or strikes out, Alex is always smiling and cheering his teammates—he is the epitome of a great leader and a great ball player playing for the 13AAA team.

John Lillie is this week’s Posch Builders Coach of the Week award. John does a great job with the 10A boys. After a rocky start to the season, his messages of positivity, hard work and playing aggressive remained constant. John has the boys all come out to greet their fans after the game to thank us for attending.

The Dave’s Sport Shop Hitter of the Week is Ethen Johnson. His week included a grand slam and two massive triples to lead the 10A team.

Owen Maslowski is the Pitcher of the Week after pitching two scoreless innings and helped himself out by going 2-2 at the place with a big three-run HR for his 11A team.

Dan Haws & Tim Frisch are the Stillwater Current Volunteers of the Week. Dan & Tim are former Stillwater Area Baseball Board members and parents who stepped up in a big way to help the association, its players, and parents by volunteering many hours during the Stillwater tournaments. Both continue to be instrumental to the success of this association.

Thank you to the coaches and parents who continue to nominate players throughout the week at Keep them coming!

We encourage everyone to support these sponsors out of appreciation for their commitment to the community.
