Stillwater Baseball Stars of the Week Awards: Week of May 14

Every week this baseball season, we will announce Stillwater Area Baseball Weekly Stars here on Stillwater Current.

Here’s our weekly award winners for the week of May 14.

Ben Jackels, playing for the 13AAA team is the Stillwater Motors Player of the Week. Ben pitched 2 no-hit innings with one K, and at the plate had a key double, with an RBI and a run scored.

Erik Anderson is the Dave’s Sport Shop Umpire of the Week. Erik umped three games while having finals in his AP classes at school! Great job, Erik!

Stillwater Current recognizes Deena Dague as the Volunteer of the Week. Deena volunteered at tryouts this year, serves on the tryout committee and is active in the Marketing & Fundraising Committee. You’ll be seeing the results of Deena’s efforts throughout the season, especially at our tournaments. Thank you, Deena.

There were no nominations for Hitter or Pitcher of the Week. Get your nominations in, it’s so easy. You can nominate anytime, as many players as you want, and it only takes about 90 seconds.

Posch Builders recognizes Mike Kiser of the 13AA Black team as the Coach of the Week.

Mike’s nominator: “I feel no deserves this award more than Mike Kiser asst coach to 13AA Black team. Mike does things without wanting recognition, taking time to form a bond with his players outside of the field. Because of this, his players respect and strive to be the best players on and off the field. Mike goes above and beyond in so many ways as a coach, mentor and parent.”

Coaches, parents and fans are encouraged to nominate players, umpires, coaches and volunteers all week long.

We encourage everyone to support these sponsors out of appreciation for their commitment to the community.
