The River Valley Athletic Club announced new owners and a new look to ring in 2018.
Longtime Stillwater resident and entrepreneur, Dave Najarian and his family are the new owners of River Valley Athletic Club. Najarian purchased the club from previous owner Summer Kuehn.
The Najarian family also owns Nelson’s Ice Cream and the Lion’s Tavern in downtown Stillwater.
Najarian and his family have been residents of the Stillwater area for 17 years, and club members of River Valley for more than 10 years.
“River Valley has been an institution for many years and we want to continue to be
the place the community goes,” said Najarian. “We will be maintaining the elements that our current members love, while upgrading the club now, and over the months to come.”
Improvements to the club will include some updated equipment, adding a circuit training system, a new personal training area, a juice, protein and coffee bar, and aesthetic updates.
“River Valley is a great community that offers endless amenities to help guide you and your family’s health,” Najarian said. “With the free in-house childcare, a wide variety of classes, the indoor and outdoor pools, and full spa in house, we aim to improve and build on what makes this club so great.”
The club is offering new members who sign-up in January their first month for only $1. New members will also receive a free 30-minute session with a personal trainer.
