Update: Ponies Shutout Roseville 20-0 in Season Opener

Stillwater’s defense shutout Roseville 20-0 Thursday night in the Ponies season opener.

The Ponies offense converted on three fourth downs, two of which ended in touchdowns.

DJ Skie threw two touchdown passes in his first game at quarterback –  one to wide receiver Matt Anderson, and the other to running back Zach Knox. Knox also rushed for more than 150 yards and a touchdown.

The Ponies defense stood strong in the opener, shutting the Raiders out with a couple of sacks and an interception by defensive back Johnny Randazzo.
