Pub 112 Chef Bernice Reyes was crowned champion of the 2016 Stillwater Lumberjack Days Chef’s Competition.
Chef Reyes defeated the defending champ, Chef Nate Peterson of Phil’s Tara Hideaway, by cooking up her ribeye steak tacos with fresh corn tortillas, a smoky white chocolate mole and roasted blueberry salsa.
All of the ingredients for the competition were purchased at the Stillwater Farmers Market. The meat was donated by River Market Community Co-op. All of the ingredients were a surprise to the competitors.
