Police are investigating a burglary that happened last weekend at Northern Vineyards Winery in downtown Stillwater.
Police believe the burglar(s) scaled the deck on the Water Street side of the downtown winery at 223 Main St. N., forced a deadlock open on the second floor patio door, entered the building and stole a lockbox containing about $700 in money and customers’ checks.
Police believe the burglary happened sometime between 7 p.m. Jan. 29 and 9:40 a.m. Jan. 30.
The Northern Vineyards manager told police she was unsure if anything other than the lockbox was missing, but nothing appeared to be out of place.
