Police Investigate String of Vandalism in Stillwater’s South Hill Neighborhood

Police are looking for vandals who have damaged several vehicles, a boat, trailer and a home this week in Stillwater’s South Hill neighborhood.

Police believe the vandalism occurred during the late-night hours of Aug. 11, into the early-morning hours of Aug. 12.

Here’s a listing of criminal damage to property incidents reported to police so far:

  • 1000 block of 5th Avenue S.: Spray painted new vehicle
  • 300 block of Churchill St. E: Spray painted 1973 Cadillac and trailer
  • 820 block of 6th Avenue S.: Spray painted vehicle
  • 200 block of Churchill St. E: Spray painted boat
  • 900 block of 5th St. S.: Spray painted vehicle
  • 920 block of 5th St. S.: Spray painted vehicle
  • 1000 block of 5th Avenue S.: Spray painted vehicle
  • 200 block of Willard St. W: Spray painted “I rape kids” on side of house
  • 800 block 1st St. S: Spray painted motor home
  • 600 block of 5th St. S: St. Paul Lutheran Church: Spray painted event sign

In each case, police say the vandals used spray paint and markers to write profanities on the vehicles, recreational vehicles and a home.

The case remains under investigation.
