Mike Bell Spaghetti Dinner Benefit is This Weekend

Michael Bell, known to many in the Bayport community as “Sweet Corn”, was diagnosed in late January, 2016, with a brain tumor on his cerebellum. Mike, age 43, is a dad to four children, is a volunteer firefighter and is active in his church and community.

Mike underwent surgery to remove the tumor on February 11 and was able to return home to his family on February 25th. Thankfully the tumor was not cancerous! Mike continues to face health challenges since he had surgery. Our hope is that someday Mike will make a full recovery and able to return to work.

There is a benefit being held on Saturday, April 23rd at the Bayport Legion for the Bell family. There will be a spaghetti dinner from 4:00-7:00pm, $10 adults and $5 for children 10 years and younger. Silent auction, bake sale, and kids activities will be going on throughout the evening. Live music will be from 8:00-midnight.

We are currently seeking donations to help raise money for Mike’s medical expenses. A gift card, specialty item, certificate for an experience, hand-crafted gift or any other item you can think of would be greatly appreciated.

Checks can be made out to “Team Sweet Corn” and mailed to:
