The Stillwater Public Library invites teens to join us on the first Monday of the month in February through May for two different teen programs.
For teens in grades 7-9, come to our Teen Book Club. Bring a book you’ve recently read and see what others are reading. Come for a chat and fun activities, games or to check out a cool book trailer or author website. A great way to meet new friends! We meet from 4-5 pm on February 1, March 7, April 4, and May 2, 2016.
Teens can also our Teen Advisory Board (TAB) that meets monthly to talk about what SPL can do to make the library a place teens want to be. Through TAB, teens have a voice in materials selection and programming, while having a good time hanging out. Did we mention snacks?
TAB is open to teens in 7th-12th grade. The group meets from 5-6pm on February 1, March 7, April 4, and May 2, 2016. If you are interested in becoming a part of the library through TAB, ask for an application to join. Some cool things that TAB has done include Teen Tech Week, volunteering at “Take Your Child to the Library Day”, helping to create programs for teens, and celebrating winter with a party at SPL. Come see what the fuss is about!
