9th Annual Senior Health and Faith Day – Living with Purpose: Being at Your Best Physically, Emotionally and Spiritually
(Stillwater, MN) – On Tuesday, April 29, the St. Croix Valley Parish Nurses welcomed over 250 people to the 9th Annual Senior Health and Faith Day at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Stillwater.
“The goal of our day was to simply encourage and equip our seniors to live well… physically, emotionally and spiritually,” said parish nurse, Shelly Rock.
The program featured Stillwater Medical Group providers Dr. Tom Zurbriggen and Dr. Charles Bransford, who shared a talk on MAD (Making a Difference) and Loving It.
This presentation was followed by a break to visit with exhibitors, including PowerUp, FamilyMeans and others from around the St. Croix Valley. After the short break, humorist Dr. Dale Anderson, led the crowd through laughter therapy, which encouraged laughter and smiles from the entire audience.
Pastor Pam Stofferahn, Redeemer Lutheran Church, capped the day with a conversation on Finding Meaning in Retirement and Spirituality in the Second Half of Life.
The event was sponsored by Lakeview Health’s St. Croix Valley Parish Nurse Program, Lakeview Health’s PowerUp Program, Thrivent Financial and Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
