Lakeview Health Foundation Thanks the Community for Breakfast Success

Over 200 people attended Lakeview Health Foundation’s 8th annual Community Breakfast and stewardship report at the Lake Elmo Inn Event Center on February 25.

The program featured the progress of the Foundation in the past year and highlighted the Foundation’s PowerUp program in the St. Croix Valley. Guests were invited to contribute to the Foundation annual appeal in support of Lakeview’s mission.

Over $50,000 was raised on at the event. Speakers included Lakeview Foundation board chair James Honsvall, Lakeview Health CEO, Ted Wegleitner sharing results of our community needs assessment, Stillwater Medical Group pediatrician Dr. Brian Cress, Sharon Wieker of Andersen Corporation, community members Dani and Mandi Leonard, and Lakeview Health System board member Jim Schug.

In addition to learning more about the impact the foundation had last in year in serving patients and the community, attendees had front row seats to the premier showing of the PowerUp video as well as a panel discussion lead by youth moderator Dani Leonard and Director for Health and Wellness, Marna Canterbury. The conversation was focused on the importance of eating healthy and regular exercise for kids (and adults alike).

Special thanks are extended to those who attended the event, volunteers and event sponsors, including presenting sponsor, First State Bank & Trust, healer sponsor Kraus Anderson Construction Company, and caregiver sponsors Andersen Corporation, Diasorin, Inc., Gilbert Mechanical Contractors, HealthPartners, McGough Company, Mohagen-Hansen Architecture and Interiors and Twin City Orthopaedics.
