Glen Perkins Selected to Third Consecutive MLB All-Star Game

Glen Perkins has been selected to represent the Minnesota Twins in his third consecutive Major League Baseball All-Star game.

Perkins hasn’t given up a run since May 29, and has allowed only five runs all season. He has a 1.27 ERA, and is 27-for-27 this season, tied for the Twins’ franchise record for consecutive saves.

Perkins didn’t pitch in the All-Star Game at Citi Field in 2013, but he got the save in front of the hometown crowd in last year’s All-Star Game at Target Field. Perkins is a graduate of Stillwater Area High School. He played college ball at the University of Minnesota.

The MLB All-Star game is at 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 14 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Congrats to Glen Perkins! He’s been selected to his third consecutive All-Star Game!
