Come play for the afternoon at this family-friendly open gym and Bike Safety Rodeo.
This is not your typical rodeo. Kids and parents can all cycle their way through this safety course hosted by the Bicycle Alliance of MN. It’s a fun way for kids to learn about bike safety and practice on a cool course. Bring your own bikes and helmets or use ones provided by the Bicycle Alliance. If you do bring your own bike helmet the Bike Alliance will do an ABC Quick Bike Check and Helmet Fitting. The course takes about 30 minutes to complete and is best fitted for kids approximately 8 years and older, but if you can ride a bike on your own, you’re welcome at this rodeo! Plus, just for participating kids will win a PowerUp prize.
– Saturday May 16, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. – Giant PowerUp Obstacle Course and Bike Safety Rodeo at the Community Health Fair at Westfields Hospital & Clinic in New Richmond, Wisconsin.
– Saturday May 16, 1-4 p.m. – Bike Safety Rodeo and PowerUp Open Gym at the Wildwood Elementary School in Mahtomedi, Minnesota.
Along with the bike rodeo, there will be a lot of other fun PowerUp activities including an open gym, fun games, veggie sampling, plus you can try out the new natural playground and meet Chomp, too.
This is a FREE event and everyone is welcome. So bring your family and invite your friends and neighbors to join in the fun!
