This is the 10th consecutive year Stillwater Area School District’s orchestra program has been recognized with this honor.

In all, 9 grades junior high school orchestras from around the state received ‘Superior with Distinction’ ratings. Four of them were from Stillwater Area Public Schools.

Student musicians will receive sectional coaching from Minnesota Orchestra members, a private rehearsal on the stage at Orchestra Hall, a CD of their performance and the opportunity to perform for an audience during Monday evening’s concert. The Minnesota Orchestra will not be performing.

Tickets for the concert are available on the Minnesota Orchestra website, and cost $10 for adults and $5 for students.
