Lake Elmo Fire Department Investigates Fire that Destroys Stillwater Boulevard Home

The Lake Elmo Fire Department is investigating a fire that destroyed a home Saturday night.

Lake Elmo firefighters were called at 11:34 p.m. Dec. 13 to a “fully involved structure fire” in the 105500 Stillwater Blvd.

Upon arrival crews discovered flames through the roof, a Lake Elmo fire department news release states, Lake Elmo Fire Chief Greg Malmquist said. No one was home during the fire. There were no injuries.

The Oakdale and Mahtomedi fire departments each supplying a ladder truck on the scene because the fire occurred in a non-hydranted area, Malmquiest said. Water tenders were requested from Bayport, Lower Saint Croix Valley, Hudson, Woodbury, Cottage Grove, Stillwater and Mahtomedi.

Lakeview Ambulance was on scene for standby. The Minnesota State Patrol and Washington County Sheriffs Department provided mutual aid for traffic control.

Firefighters cleared the scene at 4:23 a.m. Dec. 14.

The 3,000 square foot home sold on Nov. 4 for $430,000.
