Downhill Ski Season Begins in the St. Croix River Valley

The downhill ski season has arrived in the St. Croix River Valley.

Wild Mountain in Taylors Falls now has five runs open — two chairlifts and two ropes — with a snow base of 6-30 inches.

Trollhaugen, in Dresser, Wis., also has five runs open with a snow base of 2-24 inches.
