Children’s Book Week at the Stillwater Public Library

The Stillwater Public Library invites families to join in the Children’s Book Week celebrations as we host two author events especially for kids. On Wednesday, May 4th at 10:30 a.m., SPL welcomes Stephen and Trisha Shaskan, the author/illustrator team responsible for Punk Skunks, the story of BSFs (Best Skunks Forever) Kit and Buzz. Together the Shaskans will sing songs, discuss music, and use the book’s themes of conflict resolution and friendship in a creative, interactive presentation. Then, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 7th, the library and local business Valley Bookseller have partnered to host Michael Hall, who will be presenting his newest book, the hilarious Frankencrayon, the story of a book that faces cancellation due to an errant scribble. Hall has authored several books, including the New York Times Bestseller My Heart is Like a Zoo and the acclaimed Perfect Square.
