Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch & Cheers with Santa: 5 Photo Ops with St. Nick in Stillwater

Santa is a popular guy this time of year — but there are a number of ways to get face time with jolly St. Nick without waiting in a long line at the mall.

Here’s a list of dates and times your kids can catch up with Santa, tell him their wishes and snap a photo in Stillwater.

Breakfast with Santa

Breakfast with Santa is happening from 9 a.m. to noon at the Valley Ridge Mall on Saturday, Dec. 12. Santa arrives at 9:20 a.m. on a fire truck.

There are free photos with Santa and Christmas crafts for kids. A breakfast donation is $6 for adults $3 for kids. All proceeds will go to United Way of Washington County – East.

Brunch with Santa

The Water Street Inn will host Breakfast with Santa, including a buffet and free photos with Santa. The breakfast buffet costs $4.95 for kids 1 – 6 years old, $6.95 for kids 7-10 years old and $13.95 for ages 11 and up. Call 651-439-6000 to make reservations.

Here are the dates and times for Breakfast with Santa at the Water Street Inn:

  • Saturday, Dec 19: 9 a.m. – noon
  • Sunday, Dec 20: 9 a.m. – noon
Lunch with Santa

The Dock Cafe is celebrating their 22nd year of offering Lunch with Santa as part of the Hometown for the Holidays celebration in downtown Stillwater. Reservations are required.

Here is a list of times you can have lunch with Santa at the Dock Cafe:

  • Saturday, Dec. 5: 11 am – 2 pm
  • Sunday, Dec. 6: 11 am – 2 pm
  • Saturday, Dec. 12: 11 am – 2 pm
  • Sunday, Dec. 13: 11 am – 2 pm
Cheers with Santa

Santa and Mrs. Claus are coming to Lift Bridge Brewery on Saturday, Dec. from noon – 3 p.m. Instead of waiting in a long line with the kids — adults can wait in line for Santa with a fresh local brew or some root beer.

Photos will be taken by yours truly (Shawn Hogendorf, founder of Stillwater Current) with proceeds going to Valley Friendship Club of Stillwater. Photos with Santa are $5 per child, and all photos will be emailed directly to you.

The idea is to show you a good time while giving back to a local nonprofit and taking the littles to tell Santa their wishes.

Cheers with Santa corresponds with Lift Bridge’s annual release of their holiday beer, Biscotti. There will be a holiday bake-off, Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest, music by Anthony Orlando, and after 7 p.m. (when it’s 21+), you can taste the bake-off treats after the judges, and offer a vote for “People’s Choice.”

Family Pictures with Santa

You can get pictures with Santa at Nina Marie Studios in the Grand Garage from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12.

Of course Santa and Mrs. Claus will be stopping by the Twinkle Parade on Saturday, Dec. 5 at Lowell Park in downtown Stillwater. Santa’s also known to stroll Main Street from time to time during the holidays.

If I’m missing any events with Santa in Stillwater, let me know at, and I’ll add the event to the list.
