2018 Stillwater Area Baseball Association Player of the Week Awards: May 14

Every week this baseball season, we will announce Stillwater Area Baseball Weekly Award Winners here on Stillwater Current.

Here’s our weekly award winners for the week of May 14.

The Stillwater Motors Players of the Week goes to Parker Gilchrest, who pitched a no-hitter inning with three strike outs. He also hit his first home run!

The Dave’s Sport Shop Hitter of the Week is Brady Dague. Brady hit his first solo home run during the Elk River tournament.

The Boston Law Office Pitcher of the Week is Trey Hogendorf who had four strikeouts, and entered the seventh inning with runners on second and third with no outs, and got the team out of the inning without allowing a run.

Tom McCormick is this week’s Azteca Real Estate Group’s Coach of the Week. Tom rolled with a number of field cancellations this spring.

The Umpire of the Week is Ben Hanson, who proactively returned an overpayment in ref fees. Thank you umpires for your hard work out on the field!

The Stillwater Current Volunteer of the Week is Brent Voight. His dedication to making the giant puzzle that is fields is amazing. He has put in countless hours already this season.

The Bayport Printing House Sportsmanship recognition goes to the SABA Board for all the hard work for a successful opening day.

The team of the week is the 13AAA team for their first place finish in the River Falls tournament.

We encourage everyone to support these sponsors out of appreciation for their commitment to the community.
